The Onlies

Old music isn’t dead, it’s just waiting for folks like The Onlies to show you how alive it is. You’ll hear it on “You Climb the Mountain,” a great new album released in 2025. We heard them play this music live at Green Mountain Roots and Bluegrass festival (video below). It is so alive!

Sami Braman (fiddle), Riley Calcagno (guitar, fiddle, banjo), Vivian Leva (guitar), and Leo Shannon (banjo, fiddle) and Nokosee Fields (bass) have been playing together at music camps for about twenty years and none of them are 30 years old yet! I’m still searching for words that capture what makes their music feel so vital, fresh, and fun. Come hear them for yourself and let me know.

Buy Tickets takes you to our ticket service, TicketLeap.

Everything you need to know about tickets

Ticket Cost: No secrets. When you buy a ticket, you’ll pay the service fee and transaction cost.

$23.00Ticket. This amount goes to artists.
$1.46TicketLeap service fee
$.73Credit card transaction fee
$25.22Total for each ticket

Refunds and exchanges: None

100 percent of the proceeds from concerts at our house will always go to the artists.

If your plans change, we get it. You have options:

  • Treat your ticket as a donation to the artists. For many of us, that’s not much to give, but it can mean a tank of gas or a meal to musicians funding their own tour.
  • Give your ticket to someone who wants to take your place. That would feel good, wouldn’t it? Let us know who’s coming in your stead.

TicketLeap, the low-cost ticket platform we’re using, is intended to make the process better for artists, easier for you and us.

Hi! John and Laurelyn here.

We have a simple aim in mind: live a little more each day in such a way that when we die, we have few regrets. Not a life of more, but a life that is rich, deep, and connected to people, those we love and whoever we encounter.

Take a look at Laurelyn’s art and consider joining us for a house concert.
