We love the origin story of Crowes Pasture, which is Andy Rogovin and Monique Byrne. The couple was putting one of their children to bed. They sang a song and broke into quiet harmony to fill out the lullaby. As they carefully closed the door on the sleeping child, they looked at each other and said, “That was fun.”
They have been serious about that fun ever since. Lots of original music, three albums and two EPs later, they have received numerous folk music award nominations and can be found touring on both coasts. One of the things we love about this duo is the way they take a look at what’s happening around them and to them, and write songs. But they love a cover, too: Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Woody Guthrie. You’ll find their music rooted in the folk tradition that speaks to hearts that are joyful, broken, and longing for peace and justice. They know there’s poetry in whatever is right here, right now. And the harmonies just keep coming.

Honestly, it’s remarkable how much music they have recorded in their relatively short life as a musical duo. Check it out.
About concert day
Our living room holds 35 seats. As we receive your RSVPs, we’ll hold a chair for you, count on your donation, and post the number of seats remaining on this page.
How should I make my suggested donation?
Cash is king! We recommend bringing folding money with you when you come. Think of your donation and any additional tip as a tax-free gift to the artists. If you can’t make it after all, consider making a donation (for example, by Venmo) even in your absence.
Where is the concert, exactly?
Carlisle, MA. And about one week before the date, I’ll send you a reminder note with the street address and some parking advice.
Will there be merch?
We hope so! We encourage artists to bring their recordings and any other cool stuff they’ve produced for sale. Get ’em signed? I bet you can.
Relax, hang, chat
Laurelyn bakes cookies. She used to bake them as her full time job, so these are not your mother’s cookies! BYOB and tip it responsibly. Come a little early, get a good seat, meet some new friends. And usually, the artists stay for informal chat afterwards.
